Ahmedabad: The leader of opopsition Rahul Gandhi today reiterated that Congress party would win the next State assembly election in Gujarat. He said a manifesto for Gujarat polls will be made by consulting lakhs of people acrsoss Gujarat. He said entire AICC team, he, his sister would stand for the State party unit. He called party workers in Gujarat as ‘Babbar sher’ and ‘tigers’ and asked for a fearless fight. He said none had imagined BJP could lose Ayodhya, but INDI alliance won Ayodhya and same would happen in Gujarat. Rahul said in 2017 the party had worked hard for 3 months and it lost Gujarat by just 16 seats, for 2027 assembly polls, three years are left and party would go beyond half mark if it employ all efforts fearlessly.

Addressing around 3,000 party workers at the State party headquarters, Rahul Gandhi said – ‘Do write it down. Congress party’s atma would contest in Gujarat and we would defeat them like we defeated in Ayodhya. Could you imagine before election that BJP would lose Ayodhya, could you imagine before election that Modi would win Varanasi with thin margin? You don’t need to fear. Fight BJP fearlessly.’

‘Congress would win Gujarat and from here only, the new Congress party will emerge. We will teach them lesson. Loke they broke or office, we are going to break their government.’

‘A Congress worker told me, there’s a problem in Congress party. There are two types of horses – one is horse for race and the other is wedding procession horse. Many times race horse is sent to wedding and horse for wedding is sent to race. This has to be done seriously. We in the last election, we didn’t fight against BJP properly. Before that in 2017 we fought for three-four months and you saw results. Senior leaders from Gujarat told me that we would win 40 seats in Gujarat. I told them not 40 seats but we are going to win Gujarat. And we lost by 16 seats. We reached close to finish-line in 3 months. We have 3 years, we will go beyond the finish-line. In Gujarat we are not in power for 30 years. Half of you believe that we will do it. And I am telling them, you give a fight and convince the other half and we will do it. AICC team, me, my sister all are with you. We are going to teach them lesson and defeat them. And not through hate but through love, we will defeat them.’

‘BJP leaders don’t like Narendra Modi but they fear from him. If Narendra Modi like leader was in Congress party, entire party would stand up and say, go. The balloon of Narendra Modi is bursted.’

‘We have to make a manifesto for Gujarat after consulting lakhs of people. We would offer a vision to Gujarat and fight with full force.’

Rahul mentioning Ayodhya prominently in his speech said – ‘in Ram Mandir’s inauguration you saw Adani, Ambani but not poor people. Ayodhya MP elected from INDI alliance sit next to me in parliament. He told land was acquired from many people in Ayodhya and they were not compensated. Farmers lost their land for Ayodhya airport. They are not compensated even today. The people in Ayodhya were angry when they saw that none person from Ayodhya was in inauguration function of Ram Mandir. The movement launched by Advani was defeated by INDI alliance in Ayodhya which was the center of the movement.’

‘Survey was conducted thrice, Narendra Modi wanted to contest from Ayodhya and not Varanasi, but surveyors told that he would lost in Ayodhya and his political career would end. He therefore contested from Varanasi. We did couple of mistakes and so he won with around one lakh margin only there.’
