IMD forecasts very heavy rains in these parts of Gujarat during August 2 – 4

Surat: During the last two days, the state of Gujarat witnessed light rainfall across the district, with no significant heavy rainfall. However, as per the Indian Meteorological Department, a few places in South Gujarat may experience heavy rain until August 5. During this period, light to moderate rain is likely to occur across all districts of the state. The IMD has issued an orange alert for some places during August 2 to 4.

According to the IMD’s latest bulletin, during the next 24 hours, heavy rains are very likely at isolated places in the districts of the South Gujarat region, namely Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli.

On August 2, an orange alert has been issued for some districts of South Gujarat, namely Surat, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli, as heavy to very heavy rains are expected in these areas.

Meanwhile, a yellow warning of likely heavy rains has been issued for Banaskantha, Narmada, Bharuch, Dang, and Tapi.

On August 3, an orange alert is in place for Surat, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli, as they might experience heavy to very heavy rains at isolated places, with the possibility of isolated extremely heavy falls. Moreover, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Dang, Tapi, and Bhavnagar are also on orange alert with warnings of very heavy rain.

A yellow warning has been issued for Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Anand, Panchmahal, Vadodara, Amreli, Gir Somnath, and in Diu.

On August 4, an orange alert has been issued for Surat, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli, as very heavy rainfall is predicted for these districts. Narmada, Bharuch, Dang, Tapi, Bhavnagar, Kutch, Amreli, Gir Somnath, and in Diu are under yellow warning with the possibility of heavy rain.

On August 5, heavy rains are very likely in Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli, and the IMD has issued a yellow warning for these places. DeshGujarat
