Vapi receives 13 inch rainfall

Vapi: Southern most Gujarat industrial town Vapi received nearly 13 inches of rainfall on Saturday night/Sunday morning period. Kaprada and Pardi taluka also received over 12 inches of rainfall. Water logging, rise in the levels of rivers affected routine life in these areas.
As per the 24 hours data of rainfall from across Gujarat ending at 6 am, Vapi topped with highest rainfall of326 mm followed by Kaprada – 301, Pardi – 300 all three in Valsad district which occupied Southern most Gujarat. Umarpada in Surat received 280 mm, Khergam – 268, Dharampur – 226 in 24 hours ending at 6 am.
Rainfall continued beyond 6 am also in Valsad district with Valsad taluka receiveing 118 mm, Pardi 72 mm, Dharampur 63 mm, Kaprada 62 mm and Vapi 41 mm during 6 am to 10 am.
In all 141 talukas of Gujarat received more than 1 inch rainfall, 85 talukas of Gujarat received more than 2 inches of rainfall in 24 hours. DeshGujarat
