Prabhas Patan: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, while concluding the 11th Chintan Shibir of the State Government, announced the formation of an AI Task Force to enhance the speed and transparency of administrative reforms and public welfare schemes in Gujarat. The initiative aims to adopt a saturation approach through the extensive use of technology. During the event, the Chief Minister also digitally unveiled the permanent logo of the Chintan Shibir.

On the third and final day of the 11th Chintan Shibir, held in the presence of Somnath Mahadev, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel stated that Gujarat is committed to comprehensively fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for adopting a saturation approach to public welfare schemes by ensuring 100% beneficiary coverage through the use of technology and AI.

In the closing session, the Chief Minister, while addressing senior secretaries, district collectors, and development officers, emphasized the need for intensive use of AI in areas such as malnutrition, education, health, agriculture, infrastructure, employment, and public grievance redressal. A high-level task force will be formed for this purpose, which will submit its recommendations within a month. The state government aims to align its goals with sustainable development through AI and data analysis.

The Chief Minister further stated that several administrative reforms have emerged from the success of Chintan Shibir, initiated in 2003 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. These camps have made Gujarat a model state and a growth engine for the nation. Moreover, they have become a launchpad for technology-driven governance. He reiterated that development is a continuous process, and collective brainstorming leads to discussions that provide new directions for growth.

The Chief Minister clearly stated that elected representatives and officials are working together as a team to drive Gujarat’s development forward.

He emphasized that the government system should play an effective role in instilling fear of accountability in wrongdoers. He added that mistakes made with bona fide intentions can be overlooked, but those with malafide intentions will never be tolerated.

Encouraging employees to embrace the six principles of Karma Yoga, the Chief Minister urged them to transform into true Karma Yogis. He highlighted that these principles are interconnected, and adopting even one in personal life will significantly impact one’s character and overall personality.

CM Bhupendra Patel also stated that while the government consistently undertakes important and beneficial work for the public, it is essential to ensure that such information reaches people promptly. In the age of social media, where misinformation spreads quickly, it is everyone’s responsibility to counter false narratives with positive and truthful information swiftly.

The Chief Minister encouraged developing a proactive mindset to rectify any incident immediately and to take steps to prevent similar errors in the future.

In this three-day Chintan Shibir, group discussion sessions were held on four key topics: creating employment opportunities, increasing income in rural areas, achieving satisfaction in government services, and enhancing the contribution of districts and local self-government institutions to tourism development. The Chief Minister also gave suggestions for the swift implementation of these recommendations at the district level.

He further added that each district collector and development officer should identify three projects from these recommendations, act on them promptly, and periodically review their progress. The Chief Minister emphasized advancing developmental work while keeping environmental considerations in mind.

Highlighting the critical role of district administration in bridging the gap between the grassroots and the state government, the Chief Minister directed district officials to ensure no disconnect exists between rural areas and the government.

He noted that when questions of interpretation or misunderstandings arise in daily administrative operations or processes, collective brainstorming in such camps serves as a guide to resolving these issues.

The Chief Minister called for sustained reflection to make Gujarat a leader in development and fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047. He also emphasized that reflection should not just be limited to camps but should become a regular part of personal and professional life.

On this occasion, Minister of State for Home, Harsh Sanghavi, congratulated the district administration for the successful organization of the Chintan Shibir. He also extended his best wishes for implementing the innovative ideas generated during the Shibir to achieve tangible outcomes.

While delivering the vote of thanks for the 11th State-Level Chintan Shibir, Additional Chief Secretary of the General Administration Department, Kamal Dayani, expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, members of the Cabinet, senior secretaries, district collectors, and DDOs for their active participation in group discussions on various topics and for providing valuable recommendations. He noted that better results could be achieved through proper coordination and cooperation between different government departments and offices at the district level.

He also emphasized adopting the new approaches and ideas gained from the Shibir and thanked Principal Secretary of the General Administration Department Harit Shukla, the Gir Somnath District Collector, and the entire administrative team for their planning and execution of the event.
