Ahmedabad: An overspeeding car hit two cyclists on S Highway road based High Court flyover bridge and escaped the place.

Prernatirth area resident Dr. Anish Tiwari and Bodakdev area resident Krishna Shukla are part of Peddlers cyclist group. As they were going towards Gota, an overspeeding Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) suddenly changed a lane and rushed to the slow side lane to hit two bicycles, causing serious injuries to Dr. Anish and Krishna Shukla.

City police’s SG Highway – 1 traffic police station has registered a complaint against the SUV driver.

A group of cyclist including Dr. Anish Tiwari, his wife Dr. Rina Tiwari, Dr. Ashish Shah, Krishna Shukla, Dr. Amar Shah, Dr. Zankhana Shah and Dr. Parul Bhatiya were cycling fron Vaishnodevi circle to Vadsar early in the morning at around 6 am. They were passing through the bridge near Hebatpur. After the car hit Dr. Anish and Krishna Shukla, Dr. Anish’s wife dialled 108 emergency service, through which both were taken to Thaltej based private hospital. While Dr. Anish suffered minor injuries, Krishnaben was treated for bone fracture. DeshGujarat
