IT searches at premises linked with Radhe Group of Mehsana, Ahmedabad, Morbi

Mehsana: The Income Tax department is carrying out search operations on the renowned Radhe Group in Mehsana and its associates. Joint searches were conducted at the group’s premises in Mehsana and at the properties of its associates in Ahmedabad and Morbi. Over two dozen teams are involved in the operation, raising the possibility of uncovering significant instances of benami (proxy) transactions.
It is learned that the IT department is investigating Mahendra Patel of the Radhe Group and his associates. Simultaneous searches are being conducted at more than 24 locations. Additionally, two ceramic industrialists in Morbi with connections to the Radhe Group are under scrutiny. Searches have also been carried out in Ahmedabad.
From early this morning, the IT department, accompanied by police, initiated a search operation across Mehsana, Ahmedabad, Morbi, and other locations. The Radhe Group is reportedly involved in the paper mill and construction businesses, and the investigation is expected to reveal instances of benami transactions.
In Morbi, the IT department raided properties linked to the Tirthak Group, which operates in the paper mill and construction sectors.
