National vice president of BJP Shri Parshottambhai Rupala and general secretary of the party in Gujarat Shri Vijaybhai Rupani and Bharatsinh Parmar today in a joint statement on behalf of the party criticized the railway budget presented by union railway minister Shri Dinesh Trivedi today and said that the railway minister has done injustice to Gujarat by not considering a demand for Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet train. The statement further complained that demands like the third track connecting Ahmedabad and Mumbai and new Ahmedabad-Amritsar train are not addressed in this budget.

“Gujarat is on the top in salt industry and demands pertaining to the needs of salt industry are not attended in the budget. Pilgrim places like Somnath, Dwarka and Ambaji are not given broad gauge lines,” the statement said.

“The statement further said that concrete provision for modernization of Sabarmati railway station is lacking in this budget. Also there’s no financial provision to make Ahmedabad railway station ultra-modern. This shows partial behavior of central govt led by Congress towards Gujarat,” the statement further said.

Meanwhile, Gujarat BJP president Shri RC Faldu and state BJP spokesperson Shri IK Jadeja in a joint statement said that central government has pushed common man to further tougher time by continuing its practice of hiking fares.

Faldu and Jadeja in a joint statement said that there’s no provision for errecting new lines for transportation of thousands of tons of freight that arrive at Gujarat ports.
