AMC plans mega flower show on River front

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation will organize a mega flower show from the 25th to the 30th of January 2013.
The flower show will be held on the western side of the Sabarmati river front, between Ellis bridge and Sardar bridge.
The show will come up over 40,000 sq m of land. It will showcase seasonal flowers, plants, trees, vegetable plants, Ayurvedic plants, bonsai, cactus, palm and more than 45,000 plants encompassing 500 varieties.
The show will be decorated with various tree-sculptures created using the art of landscaping.
Common citizens will be allowed to exhibit their own plants in a separate 2,000 square meter space, next to the main exhibition.
Well-known nurseries from Ahmedabad and indeed from all over the country will be setting up booths at the exhibition. Well-known national and international companies will exhibit fertilizers, seeds, pesticides and garden tools during the show.
