Tender process for ‘Statue of Unity’ likely to start next month

Tenders process for construction of Statue of Unity – world’s tallest statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is likely to begin in the middle of next month, said an official release by Government of Gujarat today.
A meeting chaired by Shri K.Srinivasan, IAS, member secretary, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Rashtriya Ekta Trust was organized at Gujarat Bhavan, New Delhi, in which leading Indian and global firms including L&T, Essar, Samsung, Gannon Dunkerley, Leinart Construction, Hindustan Construction Company, Shapoorji Pallonji Construction etc participated and showed interest in this project which involves construction of world’s tallest statue featuring Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Turner Project Management Consultant, the firm which has been given responsibility of management of proposed project gave details of the project. During the interaction session, further details about this project were shared.
Today, Shri K.Shrinivasa met Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi and spoke to him about outcome of the meeting held in Delhi.
