Una sessions court has given two year jail to a Nigerian citizen who was caught in India by police in connection with a fraud case. Nigerian citizen had fake passport and documents.

Nitish Thakar works as accountant in a hotel near Ahmedpur Mandvi in coastal Saurashtra region of Gujarat. On 23 May 2012 one Tony Morgan emailed him to inform that Thakar had won Rs. 1.20 crore BMW car. Tony asked Thakar to deposit Rs. 1.72 lakh for tax and other procedural expenses, accordingly Thakar deposited the amount in different bank accounts. Later Tony sent his man Bron Johnsan to send amount of prize in person.

Johnson called Thakar in a hotel and showed him a container of chemical. Johnsan would dip papers in that chemical to “convert them into dollar.” After sometime Johnsan told Thakar that chemical was finished and more chemical would have to be procured to make dollars.

As Thakar finally smelled some trouble, he informed police through hotel manager Shrawansingh. Junagadh Local Crime Branch’s Ankur Patel rushed to the hotel and arrested Nigerian citizen ho had two passports in his possession – one of which was found bogus.

Una court has given two years jail to Johnsan for fake passport, entry to India using fake documents and cheating. Johnsan has been fined Rs. 12,000. Police is in search of Tony Morgan.
