The third edition of flower show, organized by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation was inaugurated today by state Chief Minister who was joined by Minister Shankarbhai Chaudhary and city Mayor Minakshiben Patel.

The 65,000 sqm flower show will remain open for public visit during10.00 am and 9.00 pm till 12 January.

More than 3.50 lakh plants are being exhibited in this flower show.

Plant sculptures and landscaping, exhibition of paintings on flower theme painted by school children, live demonstration of green house, stalls sharing information on various schemes launched by state government’s horticulture department, exhibition cum selling of plants by 18 nurseries from across the country, 29 stalls selling fertilizer, seeds, pesticides and tools, organic farm produce stalls, food stalls etc are other highlights of flower show which is supported by ONGC, Ahmedabad Police, Maze Group, Navneet, Gujarat Agro Industries Corporation Ltd among others.

The venue of flower show is Sabarmati Riverfront West between Sardar bridge and Ambedkar bridge, behind NID campus.
