A few years ago, son-in-law of Congress president Sonia Gandhi Shri Robert Vadra had visited Adani port at Mundra in Gujarat. Congress leaders though publicly oppose Adani, they silently mingle with Adanis comfortably. Vadra’s visit was therefore an exceptional case.

Today another Congress leader and Lok Sabha MP Shashi Tharoor arrived at Ahmedabad airport and straight away left for Mundra to visit Adani port. Tharoor made his visit public by tweeting and facebooking pictures. He was hosted at Mundra port by Gautam Adani’s son Karan Adani who is now leading the port business of Adani group. Tharoor tweeted: Visiting Mundra Port with Karan Adani. A world-class facility of which India can be proud. Vizhinjam Port to follow soon.

It should be noted that Vizhinjam port of Adani is coming up in Kerala state, which is represented by Shashi Tharoor as Congress MP in Lok Sabha.

In this reference, Tharoor further tweeted: Getting a briefing on Mundra Port and visiting the power plant. Pleased that a mini Mundra is coming to my constituency.

Tharoor also posted a photo planting sapota sapling in Mundra plant of Adani.
