PM’s mother Hiraba admitted to hospital, released

The Nonagenarian mother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was today admitted briefly to the civil hospital here following illness which the family members claimed to be a routine health check up.
Hiraba, who lives near here with his son Pankaj Modi, an officer in the Information Department, was brought to the hospital in a 108 ambulance at around 4pm and was admitted to the ICU but was later sent back home after two hours.
Dr. Paresh Vora of the hospital said that she was brought owing to age related illness. Her ECG, Blood Pressure measurement, X-ray test etc were conducted.
‘She was later sent back home,’ he said.
Meanwhile the hospital sources said that she had cough and breathing related problem.
Mr. Pankaj Modi termed it a routine check up of her mother saying she was fine.
