“Narendrabhai suggested it 18 months back, and here we are with this book”

A book featuring 100 successful Gujaratis from 14 nations across the world will be launched on eve of 13th edition of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas at Ahmedabad’s YMCA club.
The book ‘Jewels of Gujarat’ has been written on suggestion of Shri Narendra Modi.
In a press conference in Ahmedabad on Monday, Maneesh Media Chairman Shree Chandmal Kumawat said, “I visited then Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Narendra Modi to present him a book ‘Jewels of India’ and he told me to make similar book on ‘Jewels of Gujarat’. I instantly accepted the offer, and after a hard work of one and half year, we are here to launch a book on the eve of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas.”
Shri Kumawat further said that the book launch function will be attended by a 15-member delegation fro Singapore, Gujarati Samaj of Quatar, Hindu Sheikh from Oman Mr. Khimji among others. The book features 100 Gujaratis from 14 countries. 75 of them are going to attend the book launch function in which Chief Minister has also been invited.
The book contains life story of prominent Gujaratis from across the world including Lord Dolar Popat, Priti Patel, CB patel, Ami Bera, Mukesh Ambani, Jayantilal Chande, Sunita Williams and many more.
Shri Kumawat said, “we have tried to highlight the featured personality’s humble beginning, the hardship he/she had been through besides details of social & community involvement along with a brief family introduction.”
