October 04, 2016
Ahmedabad: Gujarat BJP today in a statement slammed opposition Congress party after certain leaders of Congress expressed doubts over Indian Army’s surgical strike operation in Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
State party spokesperson Bharat Pandya in a statement said, “people are unable to figure out whether the Congress party is political outfit of Pakistan or India! Congress speaks the language of Pakistan which is chocking for BJP, armed forces jawans and people of India. From Bangladesh to America, all countries have welcomed the surgical strike and admired it but it is misfortune of country that Congress is criticizing it.”
Pandya further said, “entire world has stayed away from questioning reliability of Narendrabhai Modi. Congress has no faith in Army men of our own country, and therefore the people of this country have no trust on Congress. The Congress party has insulted our jawans by raising doubts over surgical strike. It has tried to cause harm to nation’s unity. People of Gujarat will never forgive this.”
Meanwhile, after Leader of Opposition Shankersinh Vaghela’s press statement in which he expressed clear doubts over surgical strike, Gujarat Congress in-charge Gurudas Kamat in his couple of tweets said: Honorable Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi had complimented the Indian Army and the Government for surgical strikes against Pakistan. No one else in Congress should abuse their position to embarrass the party and the country. #LoveYourArmy #TrustYourArmy.
It should be mentioned that Kamat’s political rival Sanjay Nirupam had also expressed clear doubts over validity of Army’s surgical strike in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. Digvijay Singh is another Congress leader who expressed similar doubts and asked for proof.
No one else in Congress should abuse their positions to embarrass the Party and the Country. #LoveYourArmy #TrustYourArmy
