Health department raids 17 Hukka Bars in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation’s Health department team raided 8 more Hukka Bars in the city on Saturday night. Just two days before, Health department team had raided 9 Hukka Bars.

Hukka Bars that were raided on Saturday night at around 10:30 by Health department’s team were (1) Lemon restaurent, 14 Sterling shopping centre, near Indrapasth tower, Drive In. (2) Group Entertainment, 502 HImalaya Mall Drive In road. (3) Temperature Hukka Bar and restaurent, Sonal complex, in front of Sanjeevani hospital, Vastrapur lake. (4) Fire and Ice Hukka Bar, Grand Monarch, 100 ft ring road, near Sima hall, Sattelite. (5) Temperature lounge and disc, Campus corner, near Prahladnagar garden, off SG highway (6) Black Ocean, Kundalini complex, Vastrapur. (7) Chilam Hukka lounge, Himalaya archade, Vastrapur. (8) Hotel Grand Bhagwati on SG highway.

Health department’s team has seized flavor packs of Hukkas. Flavors are sent to Municipal Corporation’s laboratory for analysis. It should be noted that Hukka culture has come to Ahmedabad in last three years. It started with Cafe Mocha which was closed after frequent police raids. Hukkas are charged at Rs. 150 to Rs. 500 price range depending on which flavor you choose. In last some month it is observed that youths were getting habit of Hukka.
