“How may of you want to become CEO?”
Some students raised their hands.
“How many of you want to become entrepreneur?”
Less students raised their hands.
“OK now tell me how many of you want to join Political system?”
Only one student raised his hand with smile all over his face. Other students laugh out loudly immediately.
This dialogue happened in IIM Ahmedabad class room today when Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam who was in the role of professor asked students about their choices.
Dr. Kalam said “Once in a crowd of around 10,000 students when I asked how many of them wished to join Engineering or Medical many hands were raised in response. Even when I asked how many of them wished to go the Mars, many of them raised their hands. But when I asked how many of them wished to join politics, none hand raised.”
Kalam said there should be ‘development parties’ instead of political parties. He said that to achieve vision 2020 of developed India, country needs 10% steady growth rate after two years from now for continuously 10 years.
