Custom department in Gujarat’s Porbandar has seized a mysterious boat from Gujarat coast near Kukadva,Chorwad. This 45 ft long unmanned and possibly deserted boat was found in partially sinking condition in Arabian sea off Gujarat coast on Saturday when Custom department’s patrolling unit spotted it.

Boat has some writing in Arabian language over it. It was not clear that how this boat came all along to Gujarat coast. Security agencies including state and central intelligence bureaus had started investigation about this boat.

According to sources initial clues suggest that this boat was possibly from Middle East and was drifting for last three months. According to sources last year five such unmanned boats were captured off Saurashtra coast. However nothing substantial was found from those boats. After RDX landing at Sautrashtra coast for Mumbai bomb blasts in early 90s, extra security cover was provided to Saurashtra coast.
