Somnath brahmins blessed Advani for Prime Ministership

Sompura Brahmins who serve Somnath Jyotirlinga temple in Gujarat on Thursday blessed India’s leader of opposition LK Advani for becoming next Prime Minister of India.

Talking to reporters Advani in Somnath said “I had started Somnath-Ayodhya Rathyatra for Ram Mandir in Ayodhya in 1990. Even today after 18 years, I am determined for Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir cause. This time, I prayed to get rid of terrorism and inflation. My countrymen should get complete relief from terrorism and inflation”.

Advani offered prayers at the temple. Later, he addressed the local BJP leaders at the VVIP guesthouse.

Advani had started his historic Somnath to Ayodhya Rathyatra on 25th of September in 1990 from Somnath temple. Rathyatra ultimately resulted in a turning point for Advani’s political career and BJP’s pan-India rise. Since then, Advani pays visit to Lord Somnath every year on 25th of September. Advani is also a trustee of Somnath Trust.
