Tata group Chairman Ratan Tata speaking at Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit’s inauguration function praised speedy functioning of the state after his handy experience of Nano car project in the state.

“Most of us in India have come to regard time frame of six month or three months as an average time to get clearances. So 90 or 180 days is something that we live with. In this particular case(Nano mini car project), the kind of tradition was shattered, because it wasn’t 180 days, it wasn’t 90 days, it wasn’t 30 days but we had our land and most of our approvals in 3 days, in 3 days. And that ladies and gentleman is in my own humble experience it has never happened before,” Ratan Tata said.

“What we have today is great enthusiasms by our managers to make this plan(Nano) a great success. The Tata group collectively by the end of the next three years, I think will have a total investment of Rs 21000 crore in Gujarat. And with this vision the unassuming easiness of working with the Gujarat government and with Mr. Narendra Mod who has I think unbeatable powers of ability to get things done. Both get things done in the state and get you do things that you want to do(in centre) also,” Tata said.

“it is the state that I believe will become and retain position of one of the most industrialized and most effective states in the country,” Ratan Tata said.

Ratan Tata completed his speech on a lighter comment “the Chief Secretory(in his speech) today quite rightly mentioned that two years ago I had said that if you weren’t in Gujarat, you would be stupid, I did said that and I am very proud that I listened to my own advice and that today I can stand in front of you and say that the fact is that I am not stupid any longer.”
