While talking with media in the campus of Ahmedabad court, Gujarat’s ex minister and 2002 riot accused Mayaben Kodnani and VHP leader Jaydip Patel today complained that the Special Investigation Team(SIT), constituted by the Supreme Court of India to re-investigate 2002 Gujarat riot cases is acting one sided. Mayaben alleged that she is a victim of Congress conspiracy.

Coming out of the court after getting extended custody till 3rd April, Mayaben said, “we are innocent. I have complete faith on India’s justice system. Yesterday SIT chairman Shri Raghvanji were here from Delhi. Satyapatiji was also with him. We requested them to give some time so that we could tell them something and represent our views but they didn’t bother to listen to us. We communicated this thrice to them through officers but they didn’t listen to us. This clearly shows that SIT investigation is only one sided. However we have completely faith in the juidicial system. We are innocent and we will come out with a clean chit.”

Alleging Congress party for carrying out a conspiracy against her, Mayaben said, “This is Congress driven politically motivated conspiracy. The atrocities and injustice that they are doing on a woman will be answered by the people and the women of this nation in the elections.”

Mayaben was accompanied by co accused VHP leader Jaydip Patel, who said, “We just want to say that we are going through a judicial process but yesterday Mr. Raghvan and Satyapati didn’t bother to listen to us and went back to Delhi without listening to us. This was not good. However we have complete faith on out judicial system.”
