On the election day, Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP’s star campaigner Narendra Modi will work as an ordinary soldier of the party. Narendra Modi will work as a parent of booth no. 124 in Amraiwadi area which falls under his Maninagar assembly constituency. Modi had worked as a parent of booth no. 124 during Gujarat assembly elections, 2007 also.
Two housing societies under Narendra Modi’s booth no.124 are Shri Ram tenement and Ajay tenement. Narendra Modi choose to become a parent of booth no. 124 because he liked names of these societies. While Shri Ram is name of Hindu Lord, Ajay means victorious person whom no one can defeat. Modi’s men ensured 88% votes for BJP from Shri Ram and Ajay tenements in 2007 Gujarat assembly election.
In BJP’s cadre hierarchy, booth in charge comes under ward in charge. Like any other ordinary booth in charge, Narendra Modi will work for his booth and report summary of voting to his immediate senior ward in charge in the evening.
BJP has added a new bottom most cadre ‘Parivar Incharge’ to it’s hierarchy in this election. Around 25 Parivar In charges are appointed under Narendra Modi for booth no.124. Each Parivar In charge looks after 5 families or 50 people in his locality to ensure their votes.
