Farmers in Southern Gujarat’s Bardoli town today rallied to seek ban on BJP MP Jaswant Singh’s book on Jinnah.
Farmers started the rally from Sardar Patel statue in the evening and presented their memorandum to the Deputy Collector. They shouted slogans against Jaswant Singh who was Foreign Minister in BJP led NDA government.
Agitating farmers furious on Jaswant’s charge in the book that Sardar Patel was responsible for birth of Pakistan, alleged Jaswant of distorting the facts for cheap publicity.
It should be mentioned here that Bardoli is a town where Sardar Patel lead the peasants Satyagraha in revolt against British injustice in 1927.
