Thanks God! It’s Rain Rain Gujarat

Many parts of Gujarat received very heavy rainfall while others received moderate showers with average rainfall of 43 mm across the state since yesterday. According to the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC), Bhiloda in Sabarkanhta district received the highest rainfall of 207 mm since yesterday.

Many parts of north and central Gujarat including, Ahmedabad, Mehsana, Sabarkanhta, Banaskanhta and Panchmahal received heavy to very heavy rainfall, it said.

Ahmedabad city received 138 mm rainfall causing water logging in low lying areas. Underbridges were closed for traffic. Total 36 trees were uprooted due to incessant rains since yesterday night. People had to weild through knee-deep waters in some areas.

Almost all parts of the Sabarkanhta district received heavy showers with Vadali recording a rainfall of 159 mm, Idar 145mm, and Dhansura 125mm.
