Who is the one Gujarati with whom present American President would like to have a meal, given a chance?
Well, he is Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, our Gandhiji.
Recently during interaction with a ninth grade school student asked President Obama , “Given a chance, with whom you would like to have a meal?”, President Obama replied, “You know, I think that it might be Gandhi, who is a real hero of mine. Now, it would probably be a really small meal because he didn’t eat a lot.”
When the question was posed to him – who was the one person, dead or live, that he would choose to dine with. Obama’s answer ? Gandhi. His exact words were: “He’s somebody I find a lot of inspiration in. He inspired Dr. King with his message of nonviolence. He ended up doing so much and changed the world just by the power of his ethics.”
