17 Ahmedabad ladies on 900 km long Gujarat bike expedition

17 ladies of Ahmedabad will be starting their 900-km long two-wheeler expedition today at the Van Chetna Kendra in the city today early in the morning.

The bike expedition has been organized by Youth Hostel and Gujarat Forest Department as a part of duel celebration of Wildlife week and completion of 100 years of International Youth Hostel Association with the aim of spreading the message of wild-life protection and nature conservation on its way through various sanctuary areas of Gujarat.

The full journey will cover places such as Nal Sarovar, Hingolgadh, Sasan Gir, Paniya, Mitiyala and Velavdar sanctuaries.

The participants include doctor, teacher, students, business women, house wives ranging from 18 to 54 years age.

The five-day long expedition will be carried out during day-time. The expedition will end on 6 October at Ahmedabad.
