Three-day Kutch Rann Utsav 2009 from 1st December

The Kutch Rann Utsav 2009 will be held during 1, 2 , 3 December.

The district collectorate has started exercising to make the annual extravaganza even grander than previous years.

A committee has been formed to select participants of Kutch Carnival parade that happens on the first day of Kutch Carnival in Bhuj.

Like previous years, the tourists will be able to visit moon like white land of Kutch during Rann Utsav. District administration is in talk with Border Security Force officials to make a border tour possible.

Kutch’s Rann Utsav is one of the best brands floated by Gujarat tourism. Walking in white salty Rann of Kutch in the full moon night, visit to India-Pakistan international border, experience of watching birds at newly declared protected wetland Chhari Dhand, India’s western most point Lakhpat fort, Handicraft villages, ethnic culture, Kutchi music, Gujarat’s oldest museum at Bhuj, watching Rann of Kutch from top of the Kutch’s tallest Kalo Dungar, a group of foxes offered food by saint, visit to Mandvi’s traditional ship making industry, Mandvi beach, visit to palaces etc. can be experienced in Kutch Rann Utsav.
