Modi will immediately electrify the party if in Delhi:Shourie

In recent talk held at Kennedy school, Harvard, BJP leader and political actor/thinker Arun Shourie hinted Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s possible entry in India’s national politics in coming months.

When asked about Narendra Modi’s possible national role in the party, Mr. Shourie said: “He is a strong person. He will immediately electrify the party if he came to Delhi as he might well do and immediately there will be great divisions in the country which he will then help to overcome. There is no doubt that if he came to Delhi, the party will immediately electrified.”

Shourie was in America to attend the capstone event at the Ross India Business Conference as a key note speaker. For full dialogue in Mp3 Audio, please Click Here.

It should be mentioned here that before some weeks, Shourie had suggested that RSS should bring someone from the state as BJP’s national President. He had not clarified who and from which state. But now Shourie’s Haward conversation hints he was meaning Modi.
