Shamlaji fair 2009 from 31st October to 3rd November

The Shamlaji fair will be held in Bhiloda taluka of north Gujarat 130 kms from Ahmedabad during Kartak Sud Teras to Kartak Vad Ekam(31st October to 3rd of November in year 2009).
Around half a million villagers from interior areas of tribal Gujarat, Rajasthan and Maharashtra will gather to seek blessing of Lord Shamlaji Bhagvan at Shamlaji mandir.
The pilgrimage includes a bath in the Nagdhara Kund, formed by damming the Meshvo. The Adivasis believe the bath washes off all sins and illness.
Special buses are arranged by the State transport corporation from Bhiloda, Himmatnagar, Modasa, Idar etc. depots.
