Such questions dominated whole Thursday evening in newspaper and news TV channel bureau offices in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.
There were strong talks in Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad on Thursday evening that Chief Minister Narendra Modi was tested for Swine Flu.
Such talks got millage after hectic and unusual activities were seen at Gandhinagar Civil hospital on Thursday evening. The hospital staff on leave was called on duty and a VIP medical vehicle was kept on stand by mode. Journalists were not answered by the hospital officials. When asked, the spokesperson of the government and Health Minister Jaynarayan Vyas said that as per his knowledge Modi was well in cabinet meeting in the afternoon. The meeting ended at 3:00 pm. Vyas said he was not aware about Modi’s health status then after.
According to sources, Mr. Modi has canceled his scheduled functions of next two days including his Surat visit on October 31st.
It is believed that the Chief Minister is suffering a heavy cold, and just for precaution, he was tested for Swine flu. Modi had returned back to Gujarat from Russia trip yesterday evening.
