Justice MS Shah likely to be the chief justice of Calcutta HC

Justice M S Shah of the Gujarat High Court may be the next chief justice of Calcutta High Court. The present incumbent, Chief Justice S S Nijjar, has been elevated to the Supreme Court. Justice Shah’s name has been sent to West Bengal chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee by the Union law ministry. Justice Shah (56), became a high court judge in 1995.
At present, Gujarat’s Anil R Dave is Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court.
