Sadhvi Ritambhara is one of the best orators in contemporary India. She speaks from heart and speaks to hearts. Her rallies in support of BJP in early 90s were hugely attended and very popular. Congress leaders at that time used to say publicly that Ritambhara snatched several Lok Sabha seats from Congress by her oratory power. In mid-90s Sadhvi Ritambhara left political involvement and focused on her Ashram that now runs several charitable activities. In recent years Ritambharaji popularly known as Didiji addresses Kathas in various parts of the country. After long long time, Ritambharaji addressed a public rally in Ahmedabad on Sunday at Dharnidhar Derasar cross roads on occasion of arrival of Vishwa Mangal Gau Yatra, a country-wide march demanding protection and honor for cows in India. Following are some quotes from Sadhvi Ritambhara’s rally that really touched. Shree Kanchi Kam Koti peeth Shankaracharya also attended the public meeting. His one interesting quote is also presented below.
Sadhvi Ritambhara
-It’s not a big deal for us to get what America has, but if we loose what we have, it would be lost for ever. We will not get that from anywhere again.
-Government’s highly publicized campaign ‘Hum Do Hamare Do’ excludes mother and father from the family. It’s simple, you break the family and that would ultimately break the country.
-Gaushalas are like Vriddhashrams(old-age homes), an old person would happily live with his family but would never live as happily in Vriddhashram. Same thing for cows. They are happy living with humans, farmers but not in Gaushalas.
-Our culture teaches us to leave first Roti for a cow and last for a dog.Such a wonderful culture we have.
-One has to understand a basic difference. flesh comes from cruelty, eggs come because of sex and milk comes because love and care(of a cow towards her calf). You consume eggs and you would be like that, you consume milk and you would be like that, and you consume flesh and you would be like that.
-We often complain that the satellite channels have poisoned our families. Suppose somebody caters us poison in dish we would not eat it. But then why we consume poison coming out from TV channels and catered to our minds? Today’s media channels literally poison our mind. We should say no to this.
Shree Shankaracharyaji Maharaj, Kanchi Kam Koti
What a degradation? We send cow to slaughter house and bring dog in drawing room.
