“There can never be world peace till there is no inner peace so we have to first achieve that,” said Tibetan Buddhist spiritual leader Dalai Lama interacting with about 1000 Jain Monks gathered at Palitana town of Gujarat.
“World peace can be achieved only if all the religions get together,” added His Holiness.
During his one day visit to Jain faith’s holy town – Palitana, Dalai Lama went to Jain Mandirs and also visited a handicapped rehabilitation camp that has been organized by Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust for rehabilitation of about 25,000 handicapped people.
Dalai Lama will return to Gujarat again on 16 January when he is scheduled to grace the International Buddhist Conference in Vadodara.
