D Rajgopalan appointed Chairman SSNL, Kanubhai Mistry – GPCB

The Gujarat Government on Wednesday appointed retired D. Rajagipalan, Chief Secretary of the state a new Chairman of Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Limited(SSNL). Rajgopalan retired last month after six month extension given by state government and approved by centre. Outgoing Chairman of SSNL NV Patel has been shifted to Vadodara Urban Development Authority as its new Chairman. Kanubhai Mistry has been appointed new Chairman of Gujarat Pollution Control Board(GPCB). Kanubhai was earlier appointed as Chairman of Gujarat Public Service Commission(GPSC) and Congress had protested his appointment alleging his RSS affiliation.
The government has appointed Ahmedabad city BJP leader and ex Standing Committee Chairman of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Shri Dharmendra Shah a new Chairman of Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority(AUDA). Once his name was discussed for the post of Mayor of Ahmedabad. BJP leader Ashok Bhavsar has been appointed as new Chairman of Gandhinagar Urban Development Authority(GUDA). This is first such appointment after 9 years of formation of GUDA. Amoh Shah has been appointed new Chairman of Bhavnagar Urban Development Authority(BUDA). Amoh Shah is BJP state executive committee member for last thirteen years. He has served as Director of government corporation and President of Bhavnagar city BJP President in past.
