Shahrukh, Shane, Sena dominate Shilpa Shetty’s press meet

The Rajasthan Royals team owner and Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra and her husband Raj Kundra were in Ahmedabad on Wednesday. Though Shilpa and Raj were here to talk about Cricket, the questions that dominated their talk with media were about Bollywood and politics.

When asked about Shahrukh Khan’s pro-Pakistan stand controversy, Shilpa said: “I don’t want to comment on his statement because it is his statement, however my relation with Shahrukh is beyond film. I have lot of respect for Shahrukh. I will always support Shahrukh. Whatever he has said, it is his fundamental right. I was introduced to industry in one of his films. I am very very fond of Shahrukh. It is very unfortunate that he had to face this brunch. I am not being diplomatic, but the issue has been politicized, I don’t want it to politicize it further. Whole industry is with Shahrukh because when a film is affected, whole industry is affected. I was the first team owner who gave first reaction and narrated the reason why we didn’t take Pakistani cricketer in our team. I would always support somebody whom I like. Shahrukh is father of fraternity and I am with fraternity.”

When asked about Shiv Sena’s call to protest Australian players in Mumbai, Shilpa said “you concentrate on all the other things but not cricket. As Indian we should be smart and we should concentrate on game as we love the game of cricket. Everything is going smoothly, why do you raise the voice? We will see what happens.”

On Shane Warne issue Shilpa said Shane is against racist attack in Australia and he is a person who support good things. “I spoke with Shane yesterday and he is actually raising a voice pro-us pro-Indian. You can’t generalize everyone in racist category.”
