As many as 35 Jain Tirthankar idols are found at Pratinj’s Sumarvas in Gujarat.
While 25 idols are in good shape, 10 idols are broken.
The idols were discovered when local Aslambhai Pathan was repairing gutter system of his house. Aslambhai lives here in one-room house.
Some idols have writings of ‘1124’ and ‘1240’ which shows that they belong to medieval Gujarat’s prosperous Solanki period.
State Archaeological department has been informed about this discovery and a team visited the place. Unbroken idols have been taken to Himmatnagar town by Digambar Jain sampraday.
