Ahmedabad misses IPL franchise again

Ahmedabad couldn’t win IPL franchise consequently for second time. Adani Enterprises bid couldn’t defeat Sahara Adventure Sports Ltd and Rendezvous Sports World consortium Ltd(Shailendra Gaikwad group) which chose Pune and Kochi teams respectively. There were total five bidders including Adani Enterprises, VC digital solutions pvt ltd(Videocon), and Aman.

Sahara was the highest bidder(1702 crore Rs) and Ahmedabad was one of the cities on its radar, however when Sahara was asked to select one particular city it selected Pune. Rendezvous Group Sports World Ltd bid for Rs 1533.32 crore and its only choice was Kochi.
