Gandhinagar, DeshGujarat, 27 March, 2010

Blessed by this old lady and crores of other common people of Gujarat, Chief Minister Narendra Modi
In commendable step, the Chief Minister of Gujarat today presented himself before Supreme Court appointed Special Investigation Team(SIT) in Gandhinagar like a common man honoring the justice system of this country. It is expected that Modi’s today’s SIT date has given Modi an opportunity to prove all propoganda propelled by foreign funded NGOs, dubious media companies, Muslim activists and Congress and leftist politicians wrong.
Contrary to TV channel media’s gobbles that Modi would be investigated at Chief Ministers official residence, Chief Minister Modi arrived at SIT office in Gandhinagar at around 12.00 noon.
In a gesture to media cameras outside the SIT building, Shri Narendra Modi dressed in white kurta joined his hand before entering inside.
Modi was investigated by Ashok Malhotra according to sources. Only one typist was present in a room during the investigation. The investigation was carried out in SIT Chief Raghvan’s office.
The SIT had been tasked by a Supreme Court division bench – it was led by Justice Arijit Pasayat (now retired) who on April 27, 2009 ordered “to take steps as required in law” and investigate any involvement of Modi, his Cabinet colleagues, senior police officials and bureaucrats in the post-Godhra communal riots.
The order was in response to a petition filed by Zakia Jafri, widow of former Congress MP Ehsan Jafri who was burnt alive with 39 others at the Gulbarg Society by angry Hindu mobs on February 28, 2002, a day after the Muslim mobs burnt over fifty Hindu pilgrims including children and women alive in the Sabarmati Express in Godhra. Zakia Jafri is backed by foreign funded NGOs and Muslim activists.
It should be mentioned that Justice Arijit Pasayat had ordered investigation of Modi and other Gujarat ministers and officials just a day before his retirement. Pasayat was made Chairman of the Competition Appellate Tribunal, a statutory organization of the central government on the fifth day after his retirement. It was this same judge who had said Modi a modern-day-Nero.
A petition was filed in Supreme Court recently on behalf of BJP MLA Kalu Bhai Maliwad questioning the legality of the SIT’s probe against 63 persons mentioned in a complaint by Zakia Jaffrey. The Supreme Court will hear the Maliwad plea on April 5.
Modi arrived at SIT office with seven-car convoy and joined hand in Namashkar mudra to media cameras
