Part of Modi’s statement to media

After being questioned by Supreme Court appointed Special Investigation Team(SIT) for more than five hours, Chief Minister Narendra Modi said media outside the SIT office in Gandhinagar that the investigation was not ended and he would come again to appear before the investigation team today at 9 pm. Modi was looking confident, fresh and definitely not down.

“I have always said that the Indian constitution and law is supreme and as a citizen and as a Chief Minister I am abide by Indian constitution and law. No person is greater than law. Today my conduct has answered the people who spread various types of talks. I hope the vested interest groups will not stop such talks. Even now if some people have some illusions then I want to clear that the SIT has been appointed by the Supreme Court of India. Any of the SIT probe officers is not from Gujarat. Supreme Court appointed and selected officers have investigated me and they are being directed by the Supreme Court. The investigation has not ended now. I asked them(SIT officers) to take rest for two-three hours. I asked them that I wanted them to complete this investigation today as I had given them today’s date. So it is possible that I will come again. So in-between I came to give some Masala(spicy words) to you. I will come back at 9 pm here. I have some other work and they(SIT) also want to do some homework in the meantime. Whatever they want to ask, I am available. I will go from here in your(media’s) presence. I had asked to arrange tea, coffee for you(media persons). Did you get it? I have recently completed my Navratri fasts, so I can stay without food.”

Fresh and energetic like ever, Mr. Modi was smiling while talking with reporters and also made them smile.
