American Consulate’s Security Officer(Investigation) has filed a complaint against Vadodara’s Karelibag based Visa agent Rajesh Trivedi for fake documents.
According to complaint filed by Mumbai’s Bhulabhai Desai road based American Visa office’s Security Officer(Investigation), Sapnaben Dipanbhai Patel(Chaitya Apartment, near Aishwarya, Racecourse, Vadodara) appeared for an interview at American Visa office on 22th of December last year. She said she was widow and her friend was settled in America. She said she wanted to visit her friend and therefore wanted to visit America. When Visa officer asked her about location of her friend in America, Sapnaben couldn’t answer back. After series of questioning, Sapnaben broke down and admitted that agent Rajesh Trivedi who has an office in Vadodara’s Karelibag area’s VIP Avenue complex had published an advertisement seeking a lady for house work in America. When she contacted Rajesh, he told her to present appear at the Visa office as widow.
On the same day another lady Mayaben Satishbhai Virola(Kidvai Nagar, near RTO, Varasiya) also appeared at Mumbai based American Visa office and said she wanted to visit America with her husband. She said her husband had visa. Mayaben didn’t present her husband’s passport to support her point that he had visa. When she was grilled by Visa officer, Mayaben’s answer seemed doubtful. Mayaben also revealed that she was told to lie before the Visa office by Vadodara based Visa agent Rajesh Trivedi.
Thus the American consulate decided to file a complaint against Rajesh Trivedi for creating fake Visa application files. The American consulate wrote a letter in this regard to Vadodara Police Commissioner. Based on this letter the Commissioner of Police sent Crime Branch team to Mumbai after which a complaint was filed against Rajesh Trivedi.
Police have received affidavits that both the victim women had submitted to American Visa office after they were prompted for that. An agent based in Vadodara’s Karelibag area.
