Two Pakistanis, hiding in foreign ship nabbed in Kandla
Ahmedabad, DeshGujarat, 28 April, 2010
In a serious and somewhat extra ordinary incident, two Pakistanis were nabbed traveling illegally in a cargo ship at Gujarat’s Kandla port on Tuesday.
The ship MVPC San Fransisco departed from Pakistan’s Karachi port 10 days back. Karachi’s Mohammad Nasir(28) and Mansoor Ali(29) had entered the ship and hide inside a storage area beneath the deck. The ship traveled to Srilanka’s Colombo port via Mumbai and then came to Gujarat’s Kandla port.
Thanks to extra ordinary vigil at Kandla port, the Pakistanis were nabbed during the checking procedure. Both Pakistanis were handed over to police. According to Police Sub Inspector of Mundra Police Shri B.J.Gadhvi, arrested youths had entered the ship with intention to go to middle east and settle there for better prospects. However Police is taking this matter seriously and thorough investigation is initiated.
