Rajkot Municipal Commissioner on Thursday faced protest of Youth Congress workers for keeping American President Barack Obama’s photo in his office.
The youth congress workers carrying photos of various Indian leaders and freedom fighters in hands protested outside the Commissioner office. They entered the Commissioner office and offered the photographs of Indian icons to him. The protesters asked Municipal Commissioner to put photos of Indian leaders in his office instead of American President’s photo.
The Commissioner reportedly told that he was keeping Obama’s photo in office because he was personally a fan of Obama. The Congress workers however argued that in that case he could keep Obama’s photo in his house but not in public office. They said if Obama could keep Mahatma Gandhi’s photo in his office, why Rajkot Commissioner should keep Obama’s photo in office instead of Mahatma Gandhi.
