BJP Chief Ministers to share notes on good governance
New Delhi, 21 May, 2010
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s good governance cell has planned a meeting of chief ministers and senior ministers of BJP ruled states next month, to share the ideas and experiences of good governance.
The BJP rules Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka on its own. It is part of the ruling alliance in Bihar, Punjab and Jharkhand.
According to BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar the meeting will help BJP ruled governments take a coordinated stand on issues to be raised with the Centre. GST (goods and services tax) is one of such issues.
