People were amazed in Surat when Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s international general secretary Dr. Pravin Togadia cried on the stage during his speech. Togadia was in Surat to inaugurate All India Students meet organized by Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s Seva(service) wing. VHP’s Seva wing runs children welfare ashrams and hostels in tribal areas.

Dr. Togadia could not control tears when he recalled his child hood during his speech. He said he was living in a small village in Amreli district where school beyond std 4th was unavailable. Therefore he shifted 300 km away to Ahmedabad.

Dr. Togadia said that once upon a time in India, there was a system called ‘Gurukul’ where no student was without education due to lack of money. Today even a little child has to give interview and donation to kick start the education.

Dr. Togadia didn’t answer questions made by the reporters on SIT issue.

Dr. Togadia later visited central Gujarat’s Shinor town where Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s residential camp of training is going on for last twelve years. Dr. Togadia addressed the swayam sevaks here for an hour.
