Modi cancels scheduled visit to film show in Science City

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and his ministers today canceled their scheduled programme to watch a special preview show of film ‘Avatar’ at Ahmedabad based Gujarat Science City’s 3d IMAX theatre. Modi and ministers were to watch preview of the film Avatar along with some invited dignitaries and government’s higher officials. All preparations including police security and strict checking, were made for CM’s visit at Science city. However Modi and minister postponed their visit just before the show, due to attacks on Hindus in Ahmedabad’s wall city area and death of one of the victims of Shahpur riot Shri Vijaybhai Datania.

General talk on Wednesday in Ahmedabad was that, Chief Minister Modi was under pressure, as he failed to protect Hindus in Shahpur. After Vijaybhai Datania’s death, anger is brewing in Hindus of wall city area about Modi government’s inability to protect them. Vijaybhai is not first victim of Muslim attacks in Shahpur area where Hindus are in minority. But Hindus here want Vijaybhai as last victim of Muslim attacks here. They want government to protect them. Instead they complain, police harass them.
