Case filed against 9 for Shahpur’s Vijay Datania killing

On complaint of late Vijaybhai Datania’s wife Hansaben, the Police have filed case against nine Muslims. Three of them identified are Altaf Sheikh, Salim Sheikh and Mohsin Khan. Nine others were in group with these three.

Vijay Datania was brutally killed by group of Muslims in Ahmedabad’s Shahpur area where Hindus are now in minority, thanks to migration.

Meanwhile Police have arrested Mohammad Harun Ansari(22) and Javed Ahmed Hussain Sheikh(20) from Shahpur’s Nana Sheth ni chali area in connection with riot that happened on 25th of this month.

On Saturday, Ahmedabad’s Vejalpur police rounded up six persons for precaution. This included Juhapura’s Amirudin Kayumuddin Ansari, Mohsinkhan Pathan, Mohammadhussain Ibrahim, Vasna’s Arohinagar based Amanbhai Karsanbhai Bhati, Nathubhai Motibhai Parmar and Guptanagar’s Kamal Ganpat Padhiar. Kalupur police rounded up Babu Pathan Challi based Arjunbhai babubhai Thakor, Jitubhai Prakashbhai Babera and Zakir Mohammad Ismail Sheikh. During combing drive, Madhupura police arrested 12, Kalpur police arrested four and Shahpur police arrested two. Thus total 18 persons have been arrested in last two days in connection with last week’s wall city riots.
