Unprecedented welcome for Amitabh at Shri Somnath Mandir

Legendary Indian film-star Amitabh Bachchan today morning reached Shri Somnath mandir for Gujarat Tourism ad shoot.

Bachchan will perform Mahapooja at Shri Somnath mandir. The mandir has been decorated with saffron-green and white flowers. Each of the pillars of the mandir and the entrance are decorated with flowers brought here from Bangalore.

At the time of Mahapooja, there will be a light of 220 oil lamps. The pillars around Bachchan’s sitting place have been newly colored for extra whiteness. The Somnath trust has put up banners on the entrance welcoming Shri Amitabh Bachchan. A wall has been built at security office near Digvijaya gate to prevent tress passing during the shoot.

A VIP guest-house room that was allotted to the President of India during her visit last year – has been refurnished for Amitabh Bachchan. All security arrangements for Shri Bachchan is supervised directly by district police chief. The Collector and Mamlatdar were also busy for smooth sail of the shoot and best possible stay and food for Shri Bachchan.
