Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi condoled Minister of state for Home, Jail, Law and Transport Shri Amit Shah at his Ahmedabad’s Naranpura based residence on Tuesday for his mother’s death.

Shri Amit Shah’s mother was 81-year old. She was ill from last some weeks.

When Amit Shah remained absent during 1st May Gujarat golden jubilee celebration function, the media alleged that Shah was absent due to possibilities of his CBI arrest in gangster Sohrabuddin encounter case. Though Shah’s office repeatedly clarified that he was absent from the function due to his mother’s ill health, the media continued ‘arrest possibility’ story. Actually Shah’s mother was admitted in Ahmedabad’s Sterling hospital at that time.

One interesting thing noticed in photograph of Amit Shah’s residence above is that, there is a photograph of Mahatma Gandhi hanging on wall.

Gujarat Congress President Siddharth Patel, leader of opposition Shaktisinh Gohil, Gujarat Police Chief Shri S.S.Khandawawala, the Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court also visited Shri Shah’s place to condole him.
