Punjab’s doctors body wants Gujarat like liquor prohibition

According to a Punjabnewsline report, the Punjab Civil Medical Services Association (PCMSA) has demanded total prohibition in Punjab on the pattern of Gujarat, while joining issue on “alarming drug addiction menace” in the land of five rivers and decided to launch public awareness campaign on the issue.”
Dr. M.S.Randhawa, Patron of PCMS Association Punjab, lauded Laxmi Kanta Chawla for her bold initiative to suggest “prohibition policy” during state level function yesterday at Ajnala, on International Day Against Drug Abuse. Association reiterated its demand for total review of ‘state excise policy that was harming the public interest.”
