Mercedes owner in lock-up for firing at truck that didn’t give side

When rounds were fired from a Mercedes car at a truck on Karjan highway of Vadodara district yesterday night, the police came into action reacting to truck driver’s complaint and stopped the Mercedes to arrest Mumbai based vegetable trader Pravin Godani in the car. Godani is originally from Amreli. He was traveling towards Mumbai on this busy Ahmedabad-Mumbai highway. He confessed he had fired targeting a truck because the truck driver was not giving him side to overtake. On truck driver Rafiq Jan Mohammad and cleaner Mukesh’s complaint, the police arrested Godani with his gun and produced him in court next morning. The court ordered to send Godani on one-day remand. Godani is presently in police custody.
